Jeypore: Amid surge in COVID-19 cases, the Koraput administration has decided to impose shutdown in Jeypore Municipality for four days from July 24 midnight. The restrictions will continue till July 28.
Essential and emergency services such as medical, police, fire, telecom, postal services, sanitation, drinking water, ATMs/ movement of goods vehicle via NH, agriculture activities, LPG distribution, petrol pumps will be allowed. The exemptions will include transport of all kinds for movement to and from hospitals.
Besides, the district administration has allowed the garage, tyre and spare parts shops along the NH and all banks to remain open from 8 am to 2 pm.
ACTIVITIES ALLOWED
Koraput district has so far reported 414 COVID-19 cases. With 158 patients having recovered from the infection, the district now has 256 active cases.
