Bhubaneswar: Intensifying its effort to contain the spread of coronavirus, the Odisha government on Thursday opened a control room which will function round-the-clock.
A decision to this effect was taken at the second inter-ministerial meeting at the Lok Seva Bhawan here.
It was decided that the control room which will begin its work from Thursday will remain under the Home Department. Senior IPS officer and IG (Operation) Amitabh Thakur will supervise its overall functioning.
The control room will monitor issues with regard to the implementation of the lockdown order. Besides, issues pertaining to Odias elsewhere in the country can also be raised with the control room with two numbers 0674-2392115 and 9438915986.
