Phulbani: The Kandhamal administration has announced a four-day shutdown in Phulbani Municipality and Baliguda NAC areas from July 17 as a precautionary measure in view of rising COVID-19 cases.
Informing the media here on Wednesday, Collector Brunda D said the areas under the jurisdiction of these two civic bodies will remain closed from 7 pm on July 17 to 6 am on July 22. Special teams of the Health Department will conduct a door-to-door health survey in each ward during this period.
Kandhamal has so far reported 199 COVID-19 cases.
