New Delhi: The administration of precaution dose of COVID vaccines to population in the age group of 18 and above through Private Vaccination Centres will start from April 10.
Announcing this on Friday, the Health Ministry stated that all those who are more than 18 years of age and have completed nine months of administration of second dose, would be eligible for Precaution Dose. This facility would be available in all Private Vaccination Centres.
As per data released by Health Ministry, about 96% in the 15 plus population have received at least one shot of COVID-19 vaccine while about 83% in the 15 plus group have received both the shots.
More than 2.4 crore Precaution Doses have also been administered to healthcare workers, frontline workers and 60 plus population group. Also, 45% of 12 to 14 years group have also received the first dose, the Ministry stated.
