Businesses around the world are gearing up to make their activities COVID-safe. The country’s largest carmaker Maruti on Wednesday rolled out guidelines, such as good hygiene and social-distancing norms, for the post-lockdown reopening.
Hand sanitizers will be kept at every touch point, test-drive cars will be regularly cleaned, while masks will be compulsory for workers as well as visitors and customers.
Customers will also be encouraged to use digital services such as booking appointments for cars and accessories. They will also be able to upload documents digitally.
The health of employees will be monitored via a wellness app. Those reporting good health for at least 14 consecutive days will be allowed to resume work.
Lunch timings will be staggered to ensure proper social distancing.
New cars will be fully disinfected before delivery. Also, employees visiting customers will have to wear masks and carry sanitizers.
