New Delhi: Not all news related to novel coronavirus-related news is depressing. This one will cheer you up.
The 16 co-workers of the pizza delivery boy, who got infected with novel coronavirus in south Delhi a few days ago, have tested negative.
The administration has categorised those he worked with as high-risk, so they were tested. The homes he delivered pizza to have been categorised as low-risk.
They will be tested only if they display symptoms of the disease.
According to South Delhi DM BM Mishra, these categories have been set up by medical professionals.
“Those who he delivered food to have not been tested so far and will have to remain under home quarantine for 14 days,” he said.
The delivery boy, who tested positive on April 14, has been unwell for three weeks. With his symptoms refusing to subside, he went for testing. After several requests, he was sent to RML Hospital, where his swab samples were taken.
He delivered food in a 5-kilometre radius of the Malviya Nagar-located restaurant. Houses in Malviya Nagar, Saket, IIT Delhi and Hauz Khas have been placed under quarantine.
