Bhubaneswar: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), here has decided to close its walk-in OPDs from April 26.
The AIIMS took the decision after some of its employees tested positive for COVID-19 and went on quarantine, while others are in close contacts with the infected cases.
However, the patients, who have already registered online before April 25, are allowed to avail the facility at their respective departments. They are entitled to enter the hospital premises with only one attendant by strictly following COVID-19 protocols, a press release of the institute stated.
The health services at the institute like day care, radiotherapy, dialysis, emergency and life-saving surgery, telemedicine and teleconsultation services, IPD services, pulmonary (vaccination RMRC), Anaesthesiology, Immunization and Yellow Fever will continue.
