Bhubaneswar: The total number of COVID-19 cases in the state capital went up to 68,997 on Sunday after 1,041 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases, 151 are from quarantine and 890 through local contacts.
Maximum cases were reported from Patia (67), followed by Khandagiri (49), Nayapalli and Old Town (44 each), Dumduma (35), Baramunda and Chandrasekharpur (28 each), Badagada (26), Sailashree Vihar (25), Niladri Vihar (22), Jharpada and Rasulgarh (19 each), Samantarapur (18), Laxmi Sagar (18), and BJB Nagar (17).
Meanwhile, 941 patients recovered in last 24 hours.
Bhubaneswar has seen 55,810 people recover from coronavirus. It currently has 12,852 active cases.
