Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID-19 caseload in the state capital went up again with 275 new cases reported in the last 24 hours against 245 on Friday.
The figure was 263 on Thursday, 197 on Wednesday, 235 on Tuesday and 211 on Monday.
Of the new cases, 59 are from quarantine and 216 local contacts. Among local contacts, maximum 17 cases have been detected in Patia, followed by 14 in Nayapalli, 13 in Khandagiri and 10 in Jharpada, according to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
While 188 patients recovered during the period, the number of deceased remained constant at 979 with no death due to the disease reported in the last two days.
The city now has 3,379 active cases while the affected tally has touched 1,05,275, the BMC stated.
