COVID Infection Rate Jumps To 15% In Odisha Children

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 623 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours on Sunday. Those infected include 95 children (below 18 years).

The infection rate in the age group of 0-18 years also up to 15 per cent from 11.94 per cent on Saturday.

According to the I & PR Department, 362 of the new infections are from quarantine and 261 local contacts. Khurda (272) and Cuttack (74) accounted for 55.53 per cent of the total cases in the state.

Besides, 63 are the state pool.

Notably, Odisha’s daily infection count was 695 on Saturday, 628 on Friday, 580 on Thursday and 457 on Wednesday.

Odisha now has 5,736 active cases and the test positivity rate stands at 1 per cent.
