Hyderabad: Angry about having to maintain social distancing, a COVID-positive woman forcibly hugged her daughter-in-law which resulted in the latter also testing positive for coronavirus.
“My mother-in-law hugged me saying that I should also get infected with COVID-19. She was upset that I was maintaining a distance from her after she had tested positive,” the woman alleged, as reported by The Times of India.
She reportedly didn’t allow her two children to visit her mother-in-law and pushed her food from a distance. This upset the old lady and she suddenly hugged her daughter-in-law, saying, “Do all of you want to live happily when I die?”
The younger woman was allegedly locked up at her in-laws’ place after contracting the virus. Her sister rescued her on May 29 from Somaripeta village in Telangana.
She is currently in home isolation at her parents’ place in Thimmapur village.
