Bhubaneswar: With COVID-19 cases rising in Odisha’s capital, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday issued fresh guidelines for street vendors, business establishments including shopping malls, saloon, spa and barber shops and closed venues like auditoriums, cinema halls and theatres.
In an earlier order, wearing of face mask has already been made compulsory in Bhubaneswar. A penalty of Rs 500 has been imposed on anyone caught without mask in the city.
The state capital recorded 185 fresh COVID-19 cases on Sunday.
Odisha on Monday reported 572 cases. It’s the third straight day that the state has recorded over 500 cases. Odisha recorded 576 cases on Sunday and 512 cases on Saturday.
