Bhubaneswar: All legislators will have to undergo COVID-19 test before the Winter Session of Odisha Assembly which kicks off on December 1.
Besides MLAs, the Assembly staff, PSOs, drivers and media personnel will also have to undergo the COVID test, informed Speaker Surya Narayan Patro on Thursday. The test will be conducted on November 28, 29 and 30 on the Assembly premises.
The session will be held amid COVID-19 restrictions like previous session, the Speaker informed and added that the seating arrangements of MLAs will be made as per COVID safety norms in the House, Speaker Gallery and Public Gallery.
Those MLAs who cannot attend the session personally can attend via video conference.
The Winter Session will continue till December 31 and will have a total of 26 working days. Patro informed that all officers visiting the Assembly during the Session have to produce their vaccination certificate. Sanitisation of the Assembly will be conducted on daily basis.
