COVID Update: 823 New Positive Cases Detected In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A total of 823 fresh COVID-19 positive cases were detected in Odisha capital in the last 24 hours. This is out of the 1,258 cases detected in Khurda district.

Among the new cases, 150 are from  quarantine and 673 local contacts.


While Nayapalli has a maximum of 59 cases, Patia registered 44 cases followed by Old Town (36), Chandrasekharpur (31), Khandagiri (23), Rasulgarh and Bomikhal (21 each), Sundarpada and Dumduma (20 each), Unit-9 and Baramunda (17 each), Jharpada (15) and Laxmisagar (13).

On the other hand, 709 patients have recovered from the infection.


With 38,361 recoveries and 8490 active cases, the total cases in Bhubaneswar now stands at 47,140.

Out of 74,732 cases in Khurda district, Bhubaneswar accounts for 63 per cent.
