Balangir: The district administration has imposed curfew in Balangir town from 9 am to 6 pm on Thursday.
The deputy collector of Balangir issued the prohibitory order in the wake of arrival of migrant Odias in a train at the railway station at 10.40 am. Around 200 labourers are coming in the Shramik Special train from Tripur in Tamil Nadu.
Besides the adjoining areas of the railway station, the curfew will be in force from Salapali to Titlagarh road, Titlagarh road to Rajendra College square and railway station to Beherapalli in the town. The deputy collector has warned of stern action against those flouting the curfew during the period.
