Puri: After the successful conduct of Bahuda Yatra, the district administration on Wednesday relaxed the curfew in the pilgrim town for three hours.
Talking to mediapersons here, Puri collector Balwant Singh said curfew will be relaxed from 6 pm to 9 pm before being clamped again from 9 pm tonight to 5 am on Thursday.
“On Thursday, the curfew will be relaxed from 5 am to 3 pm. It will be clamped again in the entire district from 3 pm to 10 pm. As the Suna Besha (golden attire) of the Lords will be held on the three chariots, the curfew will remain in force near Simhadwar of the main temple and from Simhadwar to Market Square along the Bada Danda (grand road) throughout the day,” the collector added.
