Curtains Fall On ‘Live In Concert’ Of DoT FEST In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The curtains fell on the ‘Live In Concert’, which was a part of the ongoing DoT Fest being held on the sidelines of FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup at IDCO exhibition ground in the Odisha capital, with spell-binding performances by Bollywood singer Sukhwinder Singh, choreographer Salman Yusuff Khan, and Indian Idol fame Pawandeep Rajan, and Arunita Kanjilal.

Day 10 of the fest witnessed Bhubaneshwar people converge on the IDCO Ground for the last live concert and celebrate the theme of ‘Non-stop Bhubaneshwar.

The artistes were felicitated by the Minister of Urban Development Usha Devi.

Notably, people from the underprivileged sections also enjoyed the fest throughout the ten days as the authorities promoted inclusiveness in celebrating the carnival. They were invited on many occasions to watch and enjoy the Bhubaneswar Live show.

Members from the transgender community as well as over 100 persons from three beggar rehabilitation centres and one Shelter for Urban Homeless (SUH) were also given free passes to enjoy the musical nights at the exhibition ground.

Besides, the Vice-Chairman at Bhubaneswar Development Authority Balwant Singh, said, “From the beginning of the festival we have been promoting inclusiveness and equitable representation from all walks of life in celebration of the fest and the hockey World Cup.”

The Flea Market, organised to display the handicrafts and textiles of Odisha, has also proved to be a wonderful crowd-puller, offering a shopping experience for visitors with more than 120 stalls showcasing locally made goods and crafts. The three stages present at the Flea Market provided a platform to hundreds of regional musicians, magicians, dancers, and much more.
