Bhubaneswar: The BJP will soon give a bandh call in Puri to protest against custodial death of the youth in the Pilgrim Town.
Briefing mediapersons here on Sunday, BJP chief whip Mohan Charan Majhi said that the bandh will be observed on Monday if necessary.
His party had given the adjournment motion notice for a debate on this issue in the State Assembly, he added.
Talking to the media earlier in the day, Puri BJP MLA Jayant Sarangi had said that the police, which had called up the parents of the deceased youth K Ramesh for interrogation on Thursday, are yet to reveal their whereabouts.
He said the mother of the deceased will reveal the entire incident once she is released.
Asked about the video of the mother of the deceased in which she has appealed to the media not to hype the incident, he said the police had orchestrated it to distract the attention of the people.
