Cuttack: A team of doctors of SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack completed the first Therapeutic Plasmapheresis procedure through Apheresis method.
The Department of Transfusion, Medicine and Blood Centre of the medical college performed the procedure on a 60-year old woman from Bargarh in collaboration with Department of Neurology, Nephrology and Anaesthesia.
This is the first time that such a procedure has been performed in a state-run hospital in Odisha.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated the SCB Medical College and Hospital and praised about the high quality and affordable healthcare continue to be a priority for Sustha Odisha.
