Cyber Crime: Fake Call Centre Busted In Odisha Capital, 5 Detained

Bhubaneswar: The Twin City Commissionerate Police on Wednesday busted a fake call centre operating in Bhubaneswar and detained five persons in this connection.

According to police sources, the fake call centre reportedly used for committing cyber crime was being run from an apartment in in Sundarpada area of state capital. Police raided the place on a tip-off and seized some SIM box-like devices and some incriminating documents.

The detainees are being questioned for more information regarding the alleged illegal activity.

“The investigation is still in its early stages. This is a technical matter, and we will provide more detailed information once our experts complete their probe,” Bhubaneswar DCP Pinak Mishra told the media.
