Bhubaneswar: As part of the Odisha government’s campaign against cyber frauds, ‘Cyber Safety Awareness Raths’ started visiting targeted places in all districts on Monday.
The campaign has been started in all districts to convey the message of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, ‘Be careful, be safe’.
The Cyber Safety Raths were given grand welcome in district SP offices on the day. District collectors, panchayat representatives, Mission Shakti members and officials of different departments including School and Mass Education, Higher Education, Panchayati Raj and Information and Public Relations were present.
As part of the campaign, the Awareness Raths would go to at least two educational institutions every day to conduct awareness programmes on cyber frauds and their prevention. Besides, awareness programmes will be organised at public places in blocks and police station areas. Quiz competitions will also be conducted among students in schools and colleges.
Mini marathon will be organised in urban areas on October 8 and an evening walk on October 14 to sensitise the citizens. The concluding function will be held on October 15 in presence of freedom fighters.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had launched the campaign by flagging off 34 Cyber Security Raths at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on September 30.
