Bhubaneswar: The Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Bishnupada Sethi has directed the collectors of the three cyclone-affected South Odisha districts to provide ex-gratia to the families of the deceased within three days.
In a letter, he asked the collectors to make necessary provision to disburse the ex-gratia and asked the Revenue Inspectors and the tehsildars to expedite the process of identifying the families of the deceased.
The state government has announced Rs 4 lakh ex-gratia to each family of the deceased.
The state government had earlier announced to provide the ex-gratia within seven days.
