Cyclone Yaas: 12-Hour Ban On Vehicular Movement On Chandikhole-Balasore NH Stretch

Jajpur: In view of predictions of strong winds due to Cyclone Yaas, the Jajpur district administration has prohibited movement of vehicles on NH-16 from today midnight.

Jajpur Collector Chakravarti Singh Rathore said except emergency vehicles, all vehicular movement will be prohibited from Chandikhole till Balasore from Tuesday midnight till 12 noon Wednesday the time during which Yaas is predicted to make a landfall.

The decision has been taken in view of accidents like vehicles overturning and flying objects causing fatalities.
