Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday raided the residence and office of 1987-batch IFS officer Dr Abhay Kant Pathak on charges of amassing disproportionate to his known sources of income.
According to sources, simultaneous searches are being conducted by the anti-graft officials at five places in Bhubaneswar, and seven places at Mumbai and Pune on the strength of search warrants issued by the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
About 150 officers and staff from different divisions of Odisha Vigilance and witnesses are being mobilized for the search operation. Searches/verification are also continuing at different places in Bihar and Udaipur, Rajasthan, the sources added.
Pathak is currently serving as Additional PCCF of Plan, Program and Afforestation.
