Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID-19 positive cases further came down as 207 patients were detected on Saturday compared to 318 on Friday and 379 on Thursday.
Of the new cases reported in the last 24 hours, 44 were from quarantine and 163 local contacts, according to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Among the local contact cases, 8 each were from Khandagiri and Patia, 7 each from Sahid Nagar and Satya Nagar and 6 each from Old Town, Mancheswar, Niladri Vihar and VSS Nagar.
As many as 116 patients recovered from the disease during the period while the number of deceased has gone up to 736 from 711 on Friday. The city now has 1863 active cases.
