Daily COVID-19 Cases Drop In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The capital city saw a 17% drop in daily COVID-19 cases on Wednesday.

A total of 547 people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, as against 661 the previous day.

Among the new cases, 100 are from quarantine and 447 through local contacts. The total number of cases in Bhubaneswar has now gone up to 82,117.

Patia reported 65 cases, followed by Nayapalli and Old Town  (22 each), Khandagiri (21), Laxmisagar (19), Chandrasekharpur (18), Dumduma (16), Patrapada (15), Badagada (14), and Jaydev Vihar (13).

On the other hand, 1,138 patients have recovered from the disease.

With 75,103 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 6,628 active cases.
