Bhubaneswar: The State Election Commission (SEC) has announced date for by-election to vacant chairperson and vice-chairperson posts in Panchayat Samitis of five districts in Odisha.
According to the notification, the by-poll for the six chairman and one vice-chairman posts will be held on August 22 between 12.30 pm and 2 pm.
While chairperson posts are lying vacant in Kabisuryanagar, Khalllikote and Kukudahandi Panchayat Samitis in Ganjam district, Narla in Kalahandi, Raighar in Nabarangpur and Bhapur in Nayagarh, one vice-chairperson is vacant in Harabhanga in Ganjam district.
