Bhubaneswar: Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu will attend the convocation of the prestigious Utkal University in the city as chief guest on April 3 instead of April 2.
The vice-chancellor of the university Sabita Acharya told the media that the office of the vice-president has confirmed date of the visit for the convocation on April 3. Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal is also expected to attend the function.
Earlier, the vice-president’s was scheduled to come on April 2. But his office informed the university to change the date to April 3, Acharya said.
As many as 180 students of the university will be awarded PhD and DLit during the convocation. Toppers of all department will also be presented with gold medals.
