New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for over 10 hours on Tuesday, the second day of his appearance in the National Herald money-laundering case. He is all set to depose before the federal probe agency again today, June 15. Hundreds of Congress workers in Delhi took to the streets and several senior leaders were detained as they protested against the summons to Rahul and Sonia Gandhi in what the party alleges is a false case, India Today reported.

Congress workers burnt tyres outside the ED office. Indian Youth Congress president Srinivas BV, who was protesting at party headquarters on Akbar Road, Delhi, has alleged he was kicked from behind by police personnel. Lying flat on the ground and surrounded by cops, he challenged the police to take him away if they dared, the report added.

Earlier, Congress leaders staged a ‘satyagraha’ outside party HQ as cops stormed in. Delhi Police and RAF entered a short distance inside 24 Akbar Road, the publication reported quoting sources. Senior Congress leaders are sitting on satyagraha outside the gate and guarding their HQ, raising slogans against BJP and police.

They have alleged that never in history that police have breached the national headquarters of a political party. Police personnel have moved a little distance away from the Congress HQ, said the report.
