Decomposed Body Of Woman Found Packed In Gunny Bag In Odisha’s Jajpur

Jajpur: Decomposed body of a woman was found stuffed in a gunny bag near Baitarani river in Mangalpur area of Odisha’s Jajpur district on Sunday.

The identify of the deceased found at Kuanrpur under the jurisdiction of Mangalpur police station in the district is yet to be established.

According to preliminary reports, locals initially spotted the bag and detected foul smell emanating from it.

On being informed, a police team rushed to the spot, recovered the body for post-mortem and launched an investigation.

It is being suspected that the woman was murdered, and the body was stuffed in the gunny bag before being thrown in the isolated area.

A case has been registered in this connection while further investigation is underway. The incident is suspected to be of two to three days old.
