Deepak Behera Appointed New VC Of Sambalpur University

Bhubaneswar: Prof Deepak Kumar Behera has been appointed as the new
Vice Chancellor of Sambalpur University on Wednesday.

Behera’s appointment was approved by Odisha Governor and Chancellor of
State Universities Dr SC Jamir.

Prof. Deepak has served as the VC of Berhampur University. He was
heading the Anthropology Department of Sambalpur University.

He has more than 16 years of teaching experience as a professor, eight
years as reader and 7.6 years as a lecturer in Anthropology.

Prof. Behera authors one research book and 45 research paper
publications in his credit.

Sambalpur University, one of the prestigious educational institutions,
was established in 1966 under Sambalpur University Act passed in
Odisha Legislature.

The University covers ten districts of the state and is recognized by
the University Grants Commission (UGC). It offers courses at
undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
