Puri: The devotees can have darshan of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra in Gundicha temple of Odisha’s Puri town from Friday.
The sibling deities of the Jagannath temple were taken to the Adapa Mandap of Gundicha temple from their chariots on Thursday evening. The deities were brought from Jagannath temple in the chariots during the Rath Yatra on Tuesday.
While Taladhwaja chariot of Lord Balabhadra reached Gundicha temple on the day of Rath Yatra, Darpadalan chariot of Devi Subhadra and Nandighosh of Lord Jagannath were stopped midway. The two chariots were pulled to the temple on Wednesday.
Speaking to media persons, Puri district collector Samarth Verma said with the sibling deities seated on Adapa Mandap, the devotees can offer puja to the Lords and have Adapa Abhada (cooked prasad) from tomorrow.
All arrangements have been made for smooth darshan of the deities inside Gundicha temple and partaking Mahaprasad in Anand Bazaar. Adequate security provisions and lighting facilities are in place to facilitate the devotees to visit at night also, he added.
The deities would return to their abode in Bahuda Yatra on June 28 ending their annual 9-day sojourn.
