Puri: Devotees are pouring into the pilgrim town in large numbers on Wednesday for ‘Nabajouban’ darshan as Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra reappeared for the first time after spending 14 days in ‘Anasara ghara’ (sick room).
After the holy bath on ‘Snana Purnima’, the sibling deities fell ill and were recuperating in ‘Anasara ghara’ for a fortnight. After recovering, the sibling deities reappeared for the first time on Wednesday.
‘Nabajoubana’ darshan falls a day before the Rath Yatra.
The entry and exit of devotees will be through Singhadwar (East Gate) and Hastidwara (North Gate).
While ‘Parmanik darshan’ (for paid ticket-holders) will be from 8 am to 9 am, ‘Sahana mela’ or free darshan will be from — 9 am to 10.30 am, 2 pm to 3 pm, 6 pm to 6.30 pm, 9 pm to 10.30 pm and 11.30 pm to 12.30 am, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) informed.
General darshan will be restricted from 10.30 am to 2 pm, 3 pm to 6 pm, 6.30 pm to 9 pm and 10.30 pm to 11.30 pm for conducting special rituals of deities at the temple.
