Cuttack: DGP Rajendra Prasad Sharma inaugurated the 65th edition of Odisha Police Duty Meet at Reserve Police Ground here on Saturday.
“I am very glad attending the inaugural function of the meet here. The event will go a long way in improving policing in the state,” Sharma said.
Police are dealing with crimes of multifarious nature and there has been a sea change in their duties, especially in the last 15 to 20 years, he added.
The three-day event will witness different competitions between police personnel of nine ranks. A total of 187 police personnel from 37 police districts are participating in the event.
