Cuttack: A youth narrowly escaped with his life but lost five fingers on his left hand while replicating an experiment he saw on YouTube at his home in Cuttack district.
The unfortunate incident was reported from Gopinathpur village in Sadar police station area.
Villagers said Krushna Chandra Behera, a Pus II pass out youth, was in the habit of trying out experiments with electronic equipment after watching tutorials on YouTube. Krushna was doing the same thing on Friday evening when there was an explosion and he was critically injured.
He was first taken to the district headquarters hospital. Later, his condition deteriorated and he was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
