Bhubaneswar: The drinking water supply to several areas of Bhubaneswar will be disrupted for 24 hours from Friday afternoon.
The Water Corporation of Odisha (WATCO), in a notification on Thursday, said the water supply from the pump house at Mundali to the city would be stopped due to repair of main supply pipe. The supply would be discontinued from 2 pm on Friday and resumed from 2 pm on Saturday.
The areas, which will be affected by the repair work, include Nayapalli, Ghatikia, Pokhariput, High Level Tank and Chandrsekharpur.
The WATCO has appealed to the people of these areas to store the water sufficiently in advance to prevent inconvenience for disruption in supply. It has also provided contact numbers of its managers in respective areas for further clarification.
