Paradip: The body of a truck driver was found inside the carrier of a vehicle parked near gate no. 1 of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) campus in Paradip on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Bipin Prusty, a resident of Haripur village in Dhenkanal district.
Prusty was driving the truck bearing registration number OD 05 S 9511 of one Hemant Sutar for a few days.
As per the sources, Bipin’s family members were unable to establish any contact with him over phone since three days.
However, Bipin’s body was found hanging inside the carrier of the truck by the family members this morning.
His family members lodged a complaint at Abhayachandpur police station alleging that he was murdered by the owner of the truck over some dispute.
“The body has been sent for postmortem to ascertain the reason behind the death. Further action will be initiated after receiving the postmortem report,” informed Additional SP Bishnu Prasad Mishra.
