Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha police arrested a drug peddler and seized 116 kg of ganja during a raid on Fategarh village in Nayagarh district on Tuesday.
A Maruti Suzuki S-Presso Car and other incriminating materials were recovered from the possession of the accused, identified as Gagan Behera alias Bulu of Dalabehera Sahi of the village.
While a case has been registered under Sections 20(b)(ii)(c)/29 of NDPS Act 1985, further investigation is on, an official release said.
Since 2020, the STF in the special drive against narcotic drugs has seized more than 49 Kg of brown sugar/heroin and more than 90 quintals of ganja/marijuana and arrested over 125 drug dealers/peddlers.
