Mumbai: Actor Pooja Bedi joined the chorus of celebrities in support of Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in the drug bust case of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
Pooja took to her Twitter handle to raise her voice against Aryan’s extended jail time. Pooja said that if no drugs were found on him, he shouldn’t be made to spend time in jail.
“If no drugs were found on #AryanKhan isn’t it appalling that an innocent kid is made to spend days & days in lockup? Its psychologically damaging to be put in jail for no reason. The judicial system needs a major revamp… such systems create criminals by punishing innocents,” Pooja tweeted.
The NCB arrested Aryan on October 2. He was initially in NCB’s custody but was later sent to 14-day judicial custody. Aryan is currently lodged in Arthur Road jail. The special court heard his bail plea last week. The order was reserved by the special court till October 20.
However, Shah Rukh’s ‘Raees’ director Rahul Dholakia has also expressed his disappointment on the matter.
“I respect and support people doing their job, unfortunately this is not seeming to be about that. Disappointed with the decision of extending Aryan’s jail time. #AryanKhanBail,” Dholakia tweeted.
