Bhubaneswar: Amid the prevailing dry weather conditions, the day temperature is likely to rise further by 3-5 degree Celsius during the next 4-5 days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Friday.
The night temperature may also rise by 2-3 degree Celsius during this period, it added.
The weather agency has also forecast light rain or thundershower at one or two places in Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Balasore on March 25.
In the aftermath of nor’wester rains and thunderstorm over two days, the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack continued to record below normal temperature of 30.8 and 30 degree Celsius, respectively. Several other places, including Angul (29.7), Balasore (27.4) and Sundargarh (30.2), also saw the mercury levels remaining below the normal temperature by over 3 degrees in the last 24 hours.
