Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Tuesday announced special trains to accommodate the rush during Chhath Puja.
The first train will depart Puri at 1.30 pm on October 30 en route to Hatia. On the return journey, it will start from Hatia at 9 am on October 31.
The train will have schedule stops at Khurda, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, and Rourkela.
It will have one AC-2 tier, three AC-3 tier, 10 sleeper class, four second class seating and two guard cum luggage vans. Passengers can avail of the tickets from PRS & general booking counters or also book them on the IRCTC website or app.
Apart from this, special trains to Patna and Bhagalpur have also been announced. Train number 08423/08424 Puri-Patna-Puri Special Train will be leaving Puri at 9.25 am on October 26 and November 2. It will reach Patna at 6.15 am.
The other train, 08425/08426 Puri-Bhagalpur-Puri Special Train, will leave Puri at 10.30 am on October 30 and November 6, and reach Bhagalpur at 7 am the next day. In the return direction, this train will leave Bhagalpur at 8.30 am on October 31 and November 7.
