Bhubaneswar: East Coast Railway (ECoR) General Manager Roop Narayan Sunkar on Thursday reviewed various infrastructural projects in Odisha and also had Window Trailing inspection from Bhubaneswar to Dhamara via Bhadrak to provide better connectivity and facilities to the port.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw is giving special focus to Odisha and various project works in the state have been under his constant supervision and priority.
In line with his instructions, Sunkar inspected the Bhadrak railway station and various passenger amenities at the station.
He also had the Window Trailing inspection from Bhubaneswar to Bhadrak and Dhamra Port Company Limited (DPCL) sidings. DPCL deals with loading of coal, lime stone, fertiliser, iron ore etc.
Sunkar had a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of Dhamra Port Company Limited Sushant Kumar Mishra and other DPCL officials and discussed on various issues.
During the course of inspection, the General Manager emphasised the need and significance of facilities provided to the esteemed passengers. He also advised officials to focus for the speedy completion of various project works.
During the inspection, General Manager was accompanied by Divisional Railway Manager, Khurda Road, Rinkesh Roy and other senior officials.
