Narendrapur: Commuting will now become easier for the inhabitants of eight villages around Narendrapur in Dhenkanal district of Odisha with Tata Steel BSL, (formerly Bhushan Steel Limited), dedicating a 5.3 km-long cement concrete road connecting them to NH-55.
Seemarani Nayak, MLA, Hindol, inaugurated the newly built road today, in the presence of Rajeev Singhal, Managing Director, Tata Steel BSL, Subodh Pandey, Chief Operating Officer, Tata Steel BSL, Manikanta Naik, Chief, Corporate Services, other senior company officials, local PRI members and villagers.
The road will help villagers to reach NH-55, particularly during the rainy season. Built at a cost of Rs 5.5 crore and linking NH-55 to Sarpa village, the road also has a one km long drain along its side. Around 10,000 people from
villages around the plant including Talabahal, Ganthigadia, Sarpa, Raghunathpur, Badibahal, Khaliberena, Kankalu, Paikapurunakote, etc. will benefit from it.
