Bhubaneswar: For the elderly seeking care and companionship but are unable to hire caregivers, now Anvayaa’s services are available in Odisha.
Anvayaa, an Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based personalised elderly care platform, has started providing companionship and care to the elderly in Odisha whose children stay away from them due to personal or professional reasons, according to the state Electronics & IT Department.
“Companionship, being a critical aspect in one’s advancing years, is incredibly beneficial and improves mental and physical health creating new routines and making life better overall. We take care of their health through routine observation and innovative use of technology to give round-the-clock emergency help,” Prashanth Reddy, founder and managing director, Anvayaa, told TOI.
It now provides its services in 24 cities.
Hyderabad-based Anvayaa offers a range of personalised services to senior citizens.
It was started in 2016 by Reddy, who after a long stint in the US came back to Hyderabad to take care of his parents but was soon flooded with requests from friends and relatives living abroad requesting him to look after their aging parents once in a while.
Besides healthcare and emergency care, its services include taking the elderly for a walk, accompanying them to a grocery store or a wedding, attending household repairs and reminding them when to take their medicines, among others.
It has a web portal and an app on which its services can be availed. Anvayaa has partnered with hospitals, doctors, utility services that provide plumbers and electricians, pharmacies and ambulances to ensure care and help to the elderly.
