Bhubaneswar: Nayapali Police on Sunday recovered decomposed body of an elderly woman from an apartment in Bhubaneswar.
The deceased has been identified as Rajshree Parida. The 75-year-old was the owner of the apartment from where her body was recovered.
According to sources, the security guard of the apartment informed police about the death of the woman in the flat around 9.30 am. It is being suspected that the woman might have died about a few days back. His son, who is reportedly mentally challenged, is unaware about his mother’s death.
Family members of the deceased told the media that she was keeping unwell and it was probably a case of natural death. Her husband had preceded her in death.
A scientific team has reached the spot to collect evidence, the sources added.
