Eminent Kannad Writer & Translator Of Odia Literature Snehalata Rohidekar Passes Away

Berhampur: Eminent litterateur Snehalata Rohidekar, who has translated several Odia literary works into Kannad language, breathed her last at Bangalore on Monday.
Born in Paralakhemundi of Odisha’s Gajapati district, Snehalata had translated the Odia short story collection written by noted Odia novelist Pratibha Ray into Kannad book ‘Ullanghana’. The 336-page book was published by Sahitya Akademi in 2006. She also translated ‘Vichitra Varna’ into Kannad in 2003.
Snehalata had a weakness for Odia language and often talked with others in Odia.
