Engineer Of Water Resources Dept Found Dead In Govt Quarters In Odisha

Bhawanipatna: Mystery shrouded the death of Water Resources Department’s assistant executive engineer, whose body was recovered from his official quarters at Mukhiguda in Dharmagarh of Odisha’s Kalahandi district on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Ranjit Karji, a native of Rayagada.

According to sources, Karji had fractured his hand a few days ago but refused go back to his home at Subhadrapur in Gunupur block in Rayagada over some dispute. He was staying alone in his quarters.

On being informed, police seized the body, sent it to Jaypatna hospital for postmortem and begun an investigation into the circumstances leading to his death. His family members have also been informed about his death.
