Bhubaneswar: Gross errors were allegedly noticed in Odia medium question papers for the accountant recruitment examination conducted by the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC), leaving the aspirants worried and dismayed.
Many aspirants who appeared for the examination held at different centres across the state on Sunday claimed that the question papers for Odia medium were full of mistakes.
The questions set in Odia language were framed in such a way that the candidates found it extremely difficult to figure out, several candidates lamented.
Expressing dismay over the manner in which the questions were prepared, they claimed that it was very difficult to read and understand the questions for Odia medium.
Describing the episode as unfortunate, opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has also targeted the Odisha government accusing it of adopting a casual approach towards the fate of lakhs of youths and job aspirants.
Hitting out at the state government, senior JP leader Dillip Mallick said the way faulty question papers were prepared for the examination conducted by OSSC showed that the government is not serious about the future of the youths.
The BJP leader sought to know as to sho will be held responsible for the failure to ensure printing of flawless question papers.
Many aspirants also lashed out at the commission for not conducting thorough scrutiny of the question papers before holding the examination.
Stating that they had opted Odia medium for the recruitment test, they claimed that they regretted the decision after getting the question papers during the examination.
Many of them took to social media platform to vent their anger and demanded immediate steps to conduct fresh examination.
Meanwhile, OSSC authorities reportedly assured the aspirants that corrective measures are being taken.
