Bhubaneswar: By September-end, the Odisha government expects to facilitate electricity connection to all households in the state, Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo said on Wednesday.
Responding to a question by Congress MLA Pabitra Saunta, Singh Deo who holds the Energy portfolio said, according to data obtained from power distribution companies (DISCOMs), homes without electricity connection have been included in the State government’s electrification scheme.
“The DISCOMs have been given Rs 415 crore for this purpose, and the goal is to connect those homes to the grid by the end of September 2024,” Singh Deo added.
