New Delhi: As polling ended in Haryana on Saturday, it was time for the Exit polls.
And though these polls don’t always project an accurate picture, the Opposition parties had something to cheer about at the expense of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) – at least till the results of Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir assembly are made declared on October 8.
As many as seven Exit polls have given Congress party the edge in Haryana, predicting that BJP won’t achieve a hat-trick of Assembly wins.
In Jammu & Kashmir, which voted in three phases last month, the Congress-National Conference alliance is ahead as per four Exit polls, but no party has been shown to cross the majority mark.
Both Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir have 90 Assembly constituencies, so the magic number is 46.
